Notes for Jeanne Le Merer
From Xavier on 3.29.14:

“I’ve got it ! My feeling was right.
When Jeanne remarries in 1715, a René Le Merer is present. He is her brother. He was married in Q-G. in 1707 and it is written that he is from Lanleff. Additionally Sébastien and Jeanne have a son Guillaume in 1703 whose godfather is a Guillaume Le Merer another brother of Jeanne, also from Lanleff.

So I attach here the correct baptism record for Jeanne and the 2 records of her marriages, the first one being partial.”

Birth certificate :
Janne Le Merer legitimate and natural daughter of Toussaint Le Merer and Janne Thomas (again !!!!) was born and baptized the 24th of June 1674 on the fonts of the parochial church of Lanleff by me undersigned priest, godfather and godmother were Master Guillaume Le Saulx and Janne Martin from Q-G. …

First wedding (beginning missing) :
… Le Floch, François Malcafat, Pierre Moignet and Pierre Gellin ; the banns having been proclaimed in Q-G. by venerable and discreet Pierre Lesné priest, on three Sundays i. e. the second, ninth and seventeenth of January (1695) and proclaimed on the same days at Lanleff by me undersigned priest, without opposition, and the said Le Merrer being minor having received the consent of her family by decision of Justice in the required form in order to arrive at the wedding benediction.
So the wedding certainly took place in the last days of January 1695.

Second wedding :
Yves Le Goff from the parish of Yvias and Jeanne Le Merer from the parish of Q-G. after the engagement in front of the church and the banns published on the 11th, 18th and 25th of November 1714 … were solemnly married by the undersigned the tenth of January 1715 in presence of René Le Merer who signs, Pierre Le Goff and Michel Moignet and others who do not sign.

From Xavier on 3.28.14:

“I have done some searching on Geneanet and found another Jeanne Le Merrer from the village of Lanleff which is presented as the wife of Sébastien Moignet by some people. She was born on June 4, 1674.
The marriage possibly took place in January 1695 in Lanleff. The problem is that one page of the record is missing so only the end of the wedding record is accessible. It does not show the names of the persons married. The only thing it shows is that one of them, certainly the groom, is from Q-G. while the bride is from Lanleff. In the list of present persons there is a Pierre Moignet.
The first children of the couple Sébastien Moignet/Jeanne Le Merrer is a Jacques born on April 6, 1696 in Q-G. All this is consistent and I tend to think that this Jeanne Le Merrer from Lanleff is more likely to be the wife of Sébastien than the other one from Plouïc-du-Trieux. The second one was born in 1668 and would be older than her husband born in 1670. This is not really a proof but wives were generally a bit younger than their husbands.
I am trying to find something that would clearly support my gut feeling about the Jeanne Le Merrer from Lanleff.”

OLD, wrong info for the second Jeanne Le Merer, below:

Birth certificate:

The Tuesday 6th of Novemeber 1668 Jeanne Le Merer daughter of Allain Le Merer and Claudine Le Gal her father and mother living in this parish (Plouëc-le-Trieux) born on Sunday 4th of the said month was baptized by me undersigned priest in the parochial church of Plouec ; godfather and gofmother were Master Claude Le Corre and Miss Jeanne Jegou dame of Guezennec who signed
Signed : Janne Jegou, C Le Corre

Death certificate:

Jeanne Le Merrer aged about 71 died in the communion of the holy Church the 14th of April 1741, et the following day she was buried in this parochial church by the undersigned priest in presence of René and Maurice Moignet her children, René and Jacques Le Merrer who do not sign except for the said René Le Merrer who signs
Notes for Sébastien (Spouse 1)
Birth certificate:

The 9th day of October 1670 was born Sebastien legitimate son of Nicolas and Marie Garnier his wife from this parish of Q-G. and was baptized the 11th of the said month and year in this church by me undersigned priest ; godfather noble esquire Sebastien Charles Fleuriot eldest son of Kerlouët and miss Catherine Fontaine Dame of the said place (Kerlouët) and signed

Note from Xavier:
“Kerlouët is just south of Q-G. I guess Nicolas Moignet was working for this noble family Fleuriot of Kerlouët.”

Death certificate:

Sébastien Moignet from the Parish of Q-G. aged about 39 died in the communion of our mother holy Church the 9th of September 1710 and the following day his body was buried by the undersigned ; present at the convoy were Janne Le Merer his widow, François Malcafat, Janne Mognet and others who do not sign
Notes for Sébastien & Jeanne (Family)
