Notes for Marie Garnier
Birth certificate:

Marie daughter of Henry Hoüarné and Jeanne Lucas was baptized by me priest on Saturday 21st of February 1643 whose godparents were Louys Lucas and Marie le Borgne.

Notes from Xavier: “Marie Garnier is the wife of Nicolas Moignet and based ont the data we have she was born in Plougonver around 1643.
There are no Garnier in Plougonver at this period but there is a family named Houarné.
The spelling of Marie’s name in the records of Q-G is not always clearly Garnier : at the wedding it is spelled Quarnier.
Houarné and Garnier do not sound the same but are relatively close.
I have come across such situations when a name was modified when a person moved from one place to another.
This is to say that my feeling is that the Marie Houarné born in 1643 is same person than the Marie “Garnier” we are looking for.”

Death certificate:

The 10th day of October 1683 died Marie Garnier in the communion of the Church after receiving the sacraments and aged about 40 ; her body was buried the following day in the parochial church of Q-G. in presence of Mr. Jan Moignet, Jan Le Doc, Marie Nicol and others, the funeral celebrated by me undersigned priest of the said parish
