Note from Xavier: “He has a brother, Michel, born on September 2, 1698, and another one, Guillaume, born on April 8, 1703.
Based on his age at death he is born around 1699, so most probably in 1700-1701 when the records are missing.”

The 13th of February 1727 after the engagement celebrated by the undersigned priest the last day of 1726 and the three banns consequently proclaimed during the mass on three solemn days in this parish and that of Plourivo … I undersigned priest of Q-G. publicly interrogated René Moignet of age (> 25) born in this parish but resident for some time of Plourivo, son of the late Sébastien and Jeanne Le Merer, and Marie Le Cain, daughter of Claude and Françoise Sébyle (= Sébile = Sébille), born and residing in this parish, both unmarried, and after receiving their mutual consent I married them in the presence of Claude Le Cain father who does not sign, Phe (possibly Philippe) brother and Marguerite Le Cain sister, Jacques Le Goff, stepfather of the groom, Jeanne Le Mere his mother, René Le Merer his godfather who sign, and some others

Death certificate:

René Moingnet (= Moignet) aged 64 died on September 18 1763 after receiving the sacraments necessary for his Salvation and was buried on the 19th of the same month in the cemetery of this church by the undersigned priest in presence of Charles Moingnet and Yves Moingnet his sons who do not sign.
