“Today eighteenth of the month of pluviose third year of the French Republic (Feb. 6 1795) … at 2 pm …  Yves Quilgars, farmer, living in Quemper-Guézennec, section of Trehervé (I could not find this place ; must be a hamel which has disappeared), assisted by Jean Quilgars, 29, farmer, and Catherine Malcarat, spinner, 21, both living in Q-G. declared that Marie Tréhiou, his wife gave birth today at 5 am to a boy whom he presented to me and to whom he gave the name of Jean Quilgars …”
 
This wording is typical of the early revolutionary period when elected civil officer took over from the priests to write the civil records : lot of blabla ! (note from Xavier)
