Birth certificate:
François natural and legitimate son of François Meno and Marie Geoffroy his father and mother was baptized by me undersigned priest and were godfather and godmother François Le Goff and Marguerite Jézéquel on August 9 1645
Note from Xavier: “The register starts in 1639 and he is the first child of this couple appearing in it so I assume his parents were married around 1644.”
Marriage certificate:
The 5th of July 1677 after the engagement in front of the Church and the publication of the banns … I publicly interrogated François Menou and Margilly Hervé the said Menou aged about 35 and the said Hervé about 30 both from the parish of Ploumilliau and from their mutual consent received by me … I married them in presence of Ollivier Rousseau, Janne Coz--- (?) ans Janne Cocquart who do not sign
Death certificate:
François Menou aged about 70 who died in the communion of the Church on April 19 1714 was buried the following day by the undersigned priest in the parochial church of Ploumilliau, in presence of François Hervé his brother in law, Yves Menou his son, Jacques et Jacquete Le Laouenon and several others who do not sign
Notes from Xavier: “François Menou and Margilly Hervé have a first child (Françoise) on September 27 1677, two months after the wedding !!!
The record is missing for 1678, 1679 and 1681.
The next child I found Jean was born on October 6 1683.
Trying to see if I find the baptism of Yves or if he was born during the missing years.”
