Notes for Marie Anne Menou
Note from Xavier: “She remarries on February 13, 1787 in Plounévez-Moëdec, with Louis Guéguen. He is 28 (!) and widower of Marie Le Pen.”

Birth certificate:

Marie Anne legitimate daughter of Pierre Meno and Jeanne Le Lanno husband and wife born on the 11th of August 1746 was baptized the next day on the holy fonts of the parochial church of Ploumilliau by the undersigned priest and were godfather and godmother François Meudic and Marie Anne Le Brigant who sign, the father present does not sign

Note from Xavier: “Meno and Lanno are equivalent to Menou and Lannou. Endings in “o” are common in Britton.”
Notes for Yves (Spouse 1)
Notes from Xavier: “I am going through the records of Plounévez-Moëdec to find more about him (baptism) and his parents.
Nothing significant so far.”
“When he marries Marie Anne Menou he his widower of Françoise Le Bihan and lives in Ploumilliau.
I have found children of one Yves Le Boulanger (there are no others) and a Louise Le Bihan in Ploumilliau from 1753 on.
Three banns have been proclaimed in Ploumilliau for them on January 28, February 2 and 4 in Ploumilliau but, surprisingly the wedding has not been celebrated there (nor in Plonévez-Moëdec where he is supposed to originate). It is disappointing because this would have given us the name of his parents.”

Death certificate:

Yves Le Boulanger husband of Marie Anne Menou from the Huernhir in this parish aged about 55 died … on July 3 1786 and was buried the next day in the cemetery of this church in presence of the above mentioned widow, witnesses and Olivier La Hénaff who declared being unable to sign when asked

Marriage certificate:

This day 11th of October 1774, I undersigned priest married with the consent of the rector of Ploumilliau, Yves Le Boulanger widower of Françoise Le Bihan from the parish of Plounevez, living in this parish, and Marie Anne Menou daughter of age (> 25) of the late Pierre Menou and Jeanne Le Lannou from this parish … in presence of Yves Le Cam and Françoise Riou undersigned, Jeanne Le Lannou and Yves Menou who do not sign

Note from Xavier: “Surprisingly banns were proclaimed in the parish of Ploubezré where Marie Anne Menou was born according to the priest. He laso states that her mother Jeanne Le Lannou is dead. So somme contradiction here !”
