Norman R. Arthur of Warrington passed away Tuesday, May 16, 2006,
at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was 54.
He was the beloved husband of Barbara (Marsden) Robbins-Arthur
with whom he had celebrated 19 years of marriage.
A resident of Warrington for 20 years, he had formerly resided in
Hatboro.
Norm was born in Abington, a son of the late Wallace A. and Elsie M.
(LeFlem) Arthur. He was a 1970 graduate of Hatboro-Horsham High
School.
Following high school, Norm worked for Hatboro Public Works. Then,
for 35 years before retiring, he was the owner and operator of Reads
Moving Systems of Hatboro, formerly Reads Van Service.
He was a longtime member of Hatboro Enterprise Fire Company and
Rescue Squad, having served as chief.
Norm was a sponsor and former coach for both the Hatboro Little
League and the Warrington Athletic Association. He was an avid
NASCAR auto racing and Philadelphia Eagles fan and was actively
involved with the Central Bucks High School West Football Parent's
Association.
An individual who loved to cook for his family and friends, he was
involved in St. Robert Bellarmine Church's meals for St. John's
Hospice.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children: Tricia A.
Endicott (Bryan) of Greensboro, N.C., Stacey L. Arthur of Raleigh,
N.C., David B. Robbins, at home, and Christiane Robbins of
Conshohocken. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Nicholas Ray
Endicott, Matthew Ryan Endicott, Zachary Richard Endicott and Taylor
Ashlee Davis; a sister, Janice Thomas (Roy "Butch") of Hatboro; a
brother, Wallace Alan Arthur Jr. of Dallas, Texas; and two nephews,
Michael and Steven Thomas.
Relatives and friends will be received by Norm's family from 5 p.m.
Thursday in St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 856 Euclid Ave.,
Warrington, where his memorial Mass will follow at 7 p.m.
