Dorothea Mai Thomas
Dorothea Mai (Funk) Thomas of Hatboro passed away Saturday, March 29, 2014. She was 92.
She was the beloved wife of the late Roy Thomas with whom she had shared 57 years of marriage.
Born in Warrington, she was a daughter of the late Rudolph Funk and Cecelia (Serling) Funk.
Dorothea had a gift for knitting and sewing, and enjoyed spending a lot of time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Dorothea is survived by her son, Roy R. 'Butch' Thomas and his wife, Janice, of Hatboro; two grandsons, Michael R. Thomas and his wife, Maria, of Hatboro, and Steven W. Thomas and his wife, Ellen, of Chester Springs, Pa.; four great-grandsons, Eric, Shaun, Ryan and Tyler Thomas; a niece, Jeanne Worley and her husband, Ernest, of Hatboro, and their sons, Brett and Brad.
Relatives and friends will be received by her family after 10 a.m. Wednesday, in Schneider Funeral Home, 431 N. York Road, Hatboro, and are invited to attend her funeral service at 11 a.m. Her interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Roslyn.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Dorothea's name may be made to the Masonic Village at Warminster, 850 Norristown Road, Warminster, PA 18974.
